Still dealing with it three years on: CJ’s story

I’ve suffered from eczema my whole life to some degree or another. As a kid I’d get it in the bends of my arms and knees and the odd patch here and there. As an adult I don’t often get those spots but I do get patches all over my body. The worst of it, though, is my hands.
I first experienced pompholyx at around 14, in about the 9th grade. It started as blisters on my fingers: moist, annoying, spreading to my whole hand.
The most recent flare-up
Two and a half years ago I had another flare-up. It started as one small itchy spot at the base of my left ring finger. That quickly spread to my entire hand. It became itchy, weepy, red, blistery, sore, annoying, embarrassing and everything else that anyone with pompholyx knows about.
I’m still dealing with this same outbreak almost three years later. It hasn’t subsided one bit.
